Could this be the most comprehensive introduction to all things Australian wine ever written? A remarkably detailed resource and highly recommended.
Congratulations to the authors on what is clearly a huge amount of effort. Your attention to detail within such a broad and comprehensive coverage of the complexity of Australian wine, past and present, is remarkable! Credit to you all.

It's the Wendouree of wine books - beautiful in its own quirky way with unfashionable charm and character. Every page is an adventure - like exploring a secondhand shop for bits of gold.
It has what Instagram lacks: substance. The book was not printed in China but in a small workshop in Adelaide's west.

The one book that every wine lover should have. The perfect non-liquid wine gift.

Buy yourself a copy of the new wine book "AUSTRALIAN WINE- Styles and tastes, people and places" by Patrick Iland et al — If ever there was an "all things to all people" book, this is it.
This classy publication covers the whole gamut of the wine industry with a plethora of really interesting snippets. Packed with vital and fascinating wine information, it could be labelled "Australian Wine 101" or for the younger generation "Australian Wine 2.0". Either way it is a fabulous read and well worth getting your hands on it. It is essential reading for anybody who wants to expand their knowledge of wine- how it is made, sensory evaluation and the Australian wine scene. A 5 star effort.
